Body structure and insulation
Bodies are built from high-performance Sandwich Panels with a standard thickness of 10 cm, injected with high-density polyurethane (PU) foam. Interior and exterior skins can be Fiberglass (FRP) or PPGI / Galvanized Steel, as the application requires.
Floors
The standard floor is 14 mm plywood with a fiberglass (FRP) layer, and it can be upgraded to suit the use and the loads carried. Options include:
- Stainless Steel Floor – 1.5 mm: a 1.5 mm stainless-steel layer laid without welds or joints, with raised edges that form a tray (Tray Type), for a durable, easy-to-clean surface.
- Aluminum Checker Plate – 4 mm: a 4 mm checker-plate floor for applications that need high resistance to wear and corrosion.
- Aluminum T-Section Flooring: a floor system that lets cold air flow underneath the cargo, supporting efficient air circulation in the body and keeping the airflow under the load unobstructed.
Additional fittings
Bodies can be fitted with a range of interior equipment to suit the products and the transport and distribution requirements, including:
- PVC Strip Curtains to reduce cold loss while the doors are open.
- Meat Hanging Systems made from stainless-steel sections and components, for hanging meat and carcasses.
- Shelves & Racks in a variety of shapes and designs to organise products.
- Movable Partition to divide the body into independent zones, giving more flexibility to carry different products or to run only part of the body when needed.
Refrigeration and freezing units for bodies and trucks
We select and install refrigeration and freezing units built for chilled and frozen transport, according to the required temperature, body size, load and operating conditions. Units are available with a choice of power source and brand, including:
- Vehicle Engine Driven Units: powered by the vehicle’s engine only.
- Engine + Standby Electric Units: powered by the vehicle’s engine, and able to run from an external electric supply while the vehicle is parked.
- Independent Engine Driven Units: fitted with their own engine to run the refrigeration system, independently of the vehicle’s engine.
We also supply units from specialist brands such as Carrier, alongside Korean brands and locally assembled refrigeration units whose components are selected and assembled for the application and the required refrigeration capacity.
The unit type, capacity and operating mode are chosen according to the body dimensions, operating temperature, product type, product temperature at loading, operating conditions and how often the doors are opened.
